The origin of the forge
This page tells a true story: a slightly crazy concept and five projects forged back to back — two in production, one ready to deploy — and what the field taught the forge.
The silent forge
dev·ideas·forge wasn’t born from a business plan. It started, back in February 2014, as my freelance activity alongside my developer jobs: websites for clients, tools, experiments. A forge running evenings and weekends, while I built up the craft by day — ERPs, energy platforms, business applications.
The concept
Then a conviction took hold: with fifteen years of craft and AI as an accelerator, turning an idea into an application no longer takes years — a few weeks are enough for a serious MVP.
The DEV-IDEAS-FORGE concept was born: collect ideas for useful apps, forge MVPs quickly, confront them with reality, and keep what holds. Thousands of app ideas are born every day; almost none reach a usable version. The forge set out to tackle exactly that.
Five projects
Habit+Family
Gamified family organisation. From idea to open testing on the Play Store in four months.
habit-plus-family.com →ScoreSide Football
Born on the pitch, where I was a volunteer team delegate. A small tool to follow my kids’ matches, shared on WhatsApp… and the instant enthusiasm of parents and staff.
football.scoreside.be →MaBelleClasse
The connected school for small Belgian schools. Calendar, absences, messaging, portfolio. Complete MVP, live demo.
mabelleclasse.be →Pizzafy
An idea kept on ice for fifteen years: the complete ecosystem for ordering custom pizzas. Full-stack MVP forged in a few days thanks to accumulated experience and AI.
pizzafy.be →DiploPass
The digital diploma wallet: signed certificates, QR-code verification, GDPR compliance. The latest, forged in spring 2026.
diplopass.org →The field decided
The forge has a merciless judge: real-world use.
Two projects found their users. Habit+Family is in production on the Play Store. ScoreSide Football now equips dozens of teams from ACFF and VV clubs — without a single euro of advertising.
Two projects didn’t find their market. MaBelleClasse and Pizzafy remain complete MVPs, kept warm. And that’s exactly right: it’s the very principle of the forge. We forge, we test, we keep what holds. A fast, cheap failure isn’t a failure — it’s an answer.
And the latest awaits its verdict: DiploPass is fully functional, ready to deploy, looking for its first partner.
The forge becomes an agency
In 2026, the forge became my full-time activity — and it changed in nature.
What survived from the original concept isn’t the collaborative platform (that will wait, maybe). It’s the method, proven five times over: listen to a real need, forge fast, confront the field, iterate.
That method, I now put at the service of your projects.
From idea to product, together.
